na první pohled na obal téhle kompilace musí být každému jasné, že tady opravdu
končí legrace. Ponurý močál, lebky, oběšenci... vypráví temné půlnoční příběhy
pro ty, kteří jsou ochotni naslouchat.
Záhrobní rej otevírá PENTA se svojí osobitou produkcí. "In the night, in
the dark" se pozvolna rozjíždí až postupem času dostoupí těch správných
jemných temných vibrací protkaných samply a roztodivnými zvuky, až předá žezlo
následujícímu tracku od AZAX SYNDROME. Ten se na nás vrhá svou nekompromisní
rytmikou a do své temné říše uvádí posluchače poměrně nezvykle decetním způsobem.
Šílenství v "Evil Power" nedosahuje až takového vrcholu, jak je toho
schopný. PSYSIDE v "Pandora’s Box" na to jdou po francouzsku s množstvím
synthů ve svém starším, poněkud již těžkopádném, stylu. V polovině kompilace
se usídlil "Cleopatra Cannonball" a už jen podle basové linky, jednoduchých
hajtek znalý posluchač pozná australský projekt DARK NEBULA, který nás dotáhne
až do svých temných bouří. Následuje CATLA se svou osvědčenou formulí acidového
třeštění a schizoidních monotónních melodií, které dokažou člověkem hodně potřást.
JELLY HEADZ se jako zatím neznámý francouzský projekt přestavují zajímavou kombinací
scandinávského freaky soundu, scratchů, ujetých samplů a isra-ruským tvrdým
dark trancem v jeho skladbě "Excaliburs Night". PSYFACTOR v "666"
na to jde po rusku nekompromisní rytmikou a vřískajícím synťákem, který prochází
celou skladbou až k lehce melancholickému konci. Jednoduché, ale účinné.
A jaká by to byla noční kompilace, aby se na ní neobjevil alespoň jeden švédský
projekt s pořádnou porcí scandinávského forest soundu. DERANGO se toho odpovědně
chopilo. Temné plochy a synty morfují společně s dalšími samply v "Time
Trap" a předvádí nám, co se děje ve švédských lesích. Kompilaci zakončuje
IBEX s melancholicky temným trackem, který má hodně co dočinění s progressivní
stránkou psytrance. "Devil in details" je dlouhý, táhlý a posluchače
vtahuje do svého příběhu jemnými vibracemi, zvony, chorály a ukolebává posluchače
po předchozím šílenství. Příjemné zakončení.
There is no tomorrow se rozhodně vyplatí těm, kteří si libují v temné a tvrdé
atmosféře a mají chuť si poslechnout, jak s temnotou pracuje současný psytrance
a rozvíjí ji různými způsoby.

It is obvious from the first look at the cover of this compilation what it
is all about. Grim swamp, skulls, hanged men.... telling midnight stories for
those, who wants to listen.
The compilation is opened with PENTA’s production. "In
the night, in the dark" is slowly builed up and after a while it reaches
the right dark vibrations full of weird samples and sounds. The next one is
a track of AZAX SYNDROME rushes at us with his non-compromise rhytmic followed
by his typical sounds. But this time, the maddness in "Evil Power"
is not so strong as we are used to get from him. The next track "Pandora’s
Box" from PSYSIDE has their old french sound.
In the middle of this compilation we find "Cleopatra Cannonball"
and at least from the bassline and simple hi-hats an experienced freak gets
to know the australian project DARK NEBULA, which is taking us into his dark
storms. The following tracks is from CATLA with their working formula of acid
maddness, schizoid monotone melodies, which kick the man’s brain very well.
JELLY HEADZ is a new french project introduced by an interesting combination
of scandinavian freak sound, hip hop scratches, freaky samples and isra-russion
dark&hard trance in "Excaliburs Night". And another russian psytrance
is here. PSYFACTOR and "666" fuelled with hard rhytms and screaming
synth going till the end. Simply but works very well.
And what a night trance compilation would it be without at
least one scandianavian portion of their forest sound. DERANGO takes the place
here and it was a good choice. Dark scapes and synths are morfing together with
other samles in "Time Trap" and show us, whats going on up there in
swedish woods. And last, but no least is the track from IBEX, which sounds dark
and melancholic and is influenced by a progressive side of trance. "Devil
in details" is long, slowly builded and it takes us on the journey through
soft vibrations, bells, chorals and makes the listeners relaxing a bit after
the maddness before. Very nice end.
There is no tomorrow is worth getting for those, who really
like to enjoy dark sound and atmosphere and would like to get an overview how
todays psychedelic production works with it and goes into different directions.
