technical PSY vs psychedelic TECHNO

The parties I was at this weekend gave me a good base to reflect upon. On friday I was at a techno-party in Boskovice and on saturday there was the Sonic Distortion party in Perpetuum.

Can’t say I’m a big techno-fan ;), but what I heard in "Sklepy" really surprised me. And surprised positively. Weaven into the canvas of usual nervous techno rythmics there came a huge stack of really psychedelic sound! Interesting samples, smart usage of effects, musical form - all the things out of the assets of a good psy-trance track! In fact the only thing I really didn’t like about that party was the techno-morning: such a cheap, very cheap techno pop.

And what did I see when I came next night to Perpetuum? ;) Good old Rawe with his kindest smile selling Czech Republic to full-on! ;))) And you know, I can’t say it was a bad party, I actually enjoyed it a lot: a bunch of interesting people, energetic dance all night through, but... to be perfect the party lacked just one small thing: some "weird, strange, twisted, evil stuff"! ;))) And this lacking part was to be found at a small provincial techno-party!

I don’t want to imply that I have found some 100% truth and I really don’t want to judge, I just want to point out the necessity of attentive and caring attitude to VARIETY @ which is the essential base of any culture. But I admit that I’m already too deep in the lands of his majesty IMHO and may be on saturday I just had to listen better ;)... after all... paraphrasing my beloved ;) Wilson, "who is the Master that makes this trance psychedelic…?"

Here go some photoes to compare the athmosphere ;)
